Developing Clinician Educational Resources in Obesity
The percentage of obese patients you care for continues to grow. Managing patient weight and health issues requires your commitment to ongoing assessment, conversation and goal setting.
We invite you to join us online on August 25th, 2021 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM ET to identify achievable best practices for your primary care colleagues as they support their patients’ weight management. Our discussion will focus on ongoing engagement, encouraging healthy choices, and setting realistic goals.
Our Why: Recent focus groups with Persons with Obesity (PwO) and primary care physicians identified assessment of a PwO’s relationship with their weight and lifestyle as an important step in developing a potential care plan. PwOs and physicians also identified goal setting and post-visit action plans as important steps in supporting PwOs on their weight management journey.
Make an Impact: We invite you to join a limited group of your primary care colleagues for a working session on August 25th from 8 -10 pm ET as we identify tools for assessment of patient engagement and practical goal setting. An additional session may be scheduled this fall for followup. An honorarium of $750 will be provided for your participation.
